McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Bobby Gerald Panter, age 78, was born November 29, 1938 and died November 8, 2017 at Raintree Manor following a one-year illness. He was the son of the late Lorn and Alma Bouldin Panter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Billie Evelyn Kesey Panter; and sister, Glenda Joyce Panter Hillis. He was married to Edna Delaney-Panter of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Ginger and Keith Wanamaker, Ted and Veronica Panter, and Jeff Panter and Leanne Holt all of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Cassie Wanamaker of Knoxville, TN, Brently, Austin and Sara Panter of McMinnville, Cristian Chaparro of McMinnville, and Brandi Sutton and husband David of Nashville, TN; great-grandchild, Maggie Marie Panter; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Wayne and Christine Panter of McMinnville; four brothers-in-law, Dickie Kesey, John T. Hillis and Michael Neal all of McMinnville, and Tony Neal of Dallas, TX; three sisters-in-law, Itha Willis of San Antonio, TX, Delores Courte of Sasakwa, OK and Beverley Neal of Ada, OK; two step-children and spouse, Sonya Herrin of McMinnville and Avery and Robin Delaney of Schoolcraft, MI; five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Andrew Blodgett of Schoolcraft, MI, and Wilma Henegar and Henry Magness both of McMinnville. Bobby was a 1957 graduate of Irving College High School. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting and camping. He was the owner of Hills Creek Nursery, spanning from 1960 to 2014. He was a member of the Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, Mid-Atlantic, North Carolina and Southern Nurseryman's Association, and a member of St. Mary's Church of Christ. A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek with Chris Perry officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at High's.
