Joyce C. Adcock Southard

Joyce C. Adcock Southard, age 83, a McMinnville, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native was born May 11, 1934 and died November 9, 2017 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a retired employee of Formfit Rogers, member of Arlington Church of Christ and daughter of the late Arlie and Mandy Cantrell Adcock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Southard; son, Michael Southard; and sister, Cornelia “Tooter” Powell. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Stacey Southard and Carl Lynn and Katrina Southard all of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Elizabeth Adcock of McMinnville; grandchildren, Andy Southard of Sparta, TN, Jon Southard, Jeremy Southard, Brenden Southard and Greg Southard all of McMinnville, Kenny Miller of Sparta and Bryan Miller of Oregon; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 in High’s Chapel with Wayne Cantrell and Ronnie Powell to officiate. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. Sunday until the time of service at High’s.
