McMinnville, TN resident and Olean, NY native David Richard Blodgett, age 60, was born February 18, 1957 and died November 14, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. A truck driver with Freedom Express, a member of Centertown Community Church, an Alabama Army National Guard veteran, and a graduate of Auburn University and of Troy State in 1987, he was the son of the late Edward Ray and Thelma Lee Edwards Blodgett. He is survived by longtime love, Kerrie Owens of McMinnville; two children and spouses, Tyler and Ann Marie Blodgett of Yuma, AZ and Jennifer and Casey Biggins of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren, Brantley Biggins, Ruby and Millie Blodgett; Kerrie's children and spouse, Daniel and Dayron Owens of McMinnville and Kasey Owens of McMinnville; sister, Joan Billings (Scott Vignerot) of Manassas, VA; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Ann Blodgett of Vancover, WA and Clark and Janeen Blodgett of Birmingham, AL. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 in High's Chapel with Jerry Smith and James Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
