Helen Faye Hickey

September 30, 1937 — December 8, 2017

Helen Faye Hickey, age 80, a McMinnville, TN resident and Overton County, TN native was born September 30, 1937 and died December 8, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a member of Westwood Church of Christ where she taught kindergarten and Sunday school for 42 years. She loved spending all of her time with her children. Mrs. Hickey was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Mae Gore Masters. She was married December 23, 1961 to Jack Hickey who preceded her in death June 18, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Douglas Masters. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Sherry Hickey and Richard and Melanie Hickey all of Nashville, TN; three nieces, Dee Higgenbotham of Cookeville, TN, Renee Hatcher of Raleigh, NC and Karen Masters of Washington; and nephew, Mark Masters of Texas. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Westwood Church of Christ with Richard O’Connor and Bob Deason to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Sunday at High’s. Memorial donations may be made to Westwood Belles, Westwood Day School or Hamilton St. Activity Center.
