McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Myrtle Brock, age 95, was born September 16, 1922 and died December 7, 2017 at Southern Hills Hospital in Antioch, TN following a sudden illness. A homemaker, a member of the Assembly of God Church, and last attended Morrison United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Paul and Lenora Roberts King. She was married on September 14, 1938 to James Allie Brock who preceded her in death on February 26, 1963. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four children, James Lurton Brock, Sr., Charlie Brock and twins, Alton and Aulton Brock; grandson, Jonathan Brock; four sons-in-law, James Alvin Craven, Foster J. Pinkston, Floyd C. Craven and James B. Seals; and daughter-in-law, Lynda Sue Sparkman Brock. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in High’s Chapel with Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery, Grundy County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at High’s.
