James Arnold Elliott

McMinnville, TN resident and White County, TN native James Arnold Elliott, age 75, was born October 3, 1942 and died January 18, 2018 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired Tool & Die/Metal Fabricator, a United States Army veteran of Vietnam, and a member of Northside Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Miller Joe and Dora Mae Davis Elliott. He was married to Delores Lee Bouldin Elliott who preceded him in death on October 27, 2010. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by son, Andre Elliott; two brothers, Joe and Mackie Elliott; and six sisters, Pearl Caldwell, Willie Caldwell, Christine Collazo, Louise Hildreth, Lola Hash and Evaline Elliott. He is survived by daughter, Marianne Elliott of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Doris Elliott of Rock Island, TN and Larry and Jackie Elliott of McMinnville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lexie Taylor of Rock Island, TN, Ellen and Jimmy Grissom of Florida and Ruby and Osburn Huntley of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in High’s Chapel with Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s.
