Alvin C. Parker

Alvin C. Parker, age 99, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born May 12, 1918 and died January 23, 2018 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following a brief illness. He was a retired inspector with Carrier, member and Elder of Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ and son of the late Charlie and Alice Kell Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Lavonia May Walker Parker. Mr. Parker is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon “Chigger” and Dianne Parker and Howard “Egypt” and Pat Parker all of Morrison; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 in High’s Chapel with Jerry Finney and Roger Comstock to officiate. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service at High’s.
