Anthony Wayne Sinks

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Anthony Wayne Sinks, age 69, was born May 22, 1953 and died February 15, 2023.           

Wayne impacted many lives within the community with his sense of humor, caring heart for others and helping hands to those in need.  He treasured his family, mostly adored his beautiful wife and his grandkids were the light of his world and always by his side.

He died at his residence surrounded by loved ones. His battle with a life-long medical issue showed his strength and courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile and humble heart. Despite the trials, Wayne came out a hero and stayed strong and fighting until the end. 

A retired salesman with Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and member of First Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Albert and Bessie Rhea Sinks. He was married to Connie Sinks of McMinnville, TN on September 1, 1972.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Wanda Dixon; father-in-law, Jerry Deaton and brother-in-law, Jay Deaton.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sinks is survived by four children and spouses, Bert and Lauren Sinks, April Sinks and Casey Miller, Amy Sinks and Nick Aldridge and Craig and Ginger Sinks, all of McMinnville, TN; eight grandchildren and spouses, Austin and Carley Miller, Torie and Adrian Walker, Taylor Coldwell, Blair Sinks, Elliott Sinks, Annie Jo Sinks, Daisy Sinks and Bea Sinks; brother, Albert Sinks, Jr. of McMinnville, TN and mother-in-law, Donna Deaton of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Rev. Warner Durnell and Rev. Harry Green officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at High’s.

In honor of Wayne’s love for antique cars, we are requesting all family and friends to drive their hot rods in the funeral procession to Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
