April Ann Dove Hicks

Knoxville, TN resident and McMinnville, TN native April Ann Dove Hicks, age 60, was born August 29, 1964 and died October 3, 2024 at St. Thomas West Hospital following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Jo Ann Davenport Dove. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Dawn Dove. 

She is survived by children, Haleigh (Ben Gretzinger) Hassell of McMinnville, TN, Sara (Kyle) Hale of Sparta, TN, Steven (Melodi Wescott) Hicks of Rockwood, TN and Joshua Hicks of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Kasin Hicks, Silver Hassell, Cody Hicks and Alexander Wescott; niece, Brandee Greene and her children; nephew, Zach Greene and special friend, Amanda Hughes.

Per her wishes, Ms. Hicks was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday October 21, 2024 in High's Chapel with Robin Hornbuckle to officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at High's.
