Ashley Adam Freeze, Sr., age 99, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native was born March 15, 1920 and passed away December 16, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Freeze was a farmer and retired from A&G Equipment in Manchester. He was a mechanic and sought-after square hay baler expert. He enjoyed fox hunting in his younger years. He loved bluegrass music, whittling, two-stepping, playing rook and cornhole as well as spending time with his many friends at the Manchester Senior Center. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the son of the late Clarence and Minnie Bell Parsley Freeze. He was married February 14, 1946 to Jannie Louise Crouch Freeze who preceded him death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by grandson, Steven Taylor; sisters, Ruby Young, Ona Wilson, Lillian Wilson, Pauline Hall, Mary D Hendricks and brothers, B.F., Bernard, and Harvey Freeze. Mr. Freeze is survived by sons, Ashley (Carolyn) Freeze, Jr. of Morrison, TN and Donald (Cherry) Freeze of Morrison, TN; daughters, Melba (Clifton) Henley of Decherd, TN and Judy (Jerry) Taylor of Woodbury, TN; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; very special friend, Bea Barton and several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
