Barbara Lilian Gwynn

Murfreesboro, TN resident and Folkstone, Kent, England native, Barbara Lilian Gwynn, age 88, was born March 3, 1934 and died December 27, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late William Maltman and Lilian Kate Youell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Bernard William Youell.

Mrs. Gwynn was married to Robert A. Gwynn of Murfreesboro, TN for over 57 years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gwynn is survived by one brother, Thomas Harold Youell of Thorton Heath, Surrey, England; sisters-in-law, Fannie Biles of McMinnville, TN and Thelma Gwyn of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2023 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Brother Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating.  

The family would like to thank the nurses from Amedisys Hospice Care and caregivers from HomeWell Care Services for their compassionate care during Mrs. Gwynn’s illness.

There will be no service at High Funeral Home.
