Bertha Caroline Gunter

Bertha Caroline Gunter, age 84, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native was born March 23, 1935 and passed away February 11, 2020 following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, a member of the Non-Denominational Church, and the daughter of the late Issac Douglas and Ida Pearl Johnson Rackley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Gunter; four brothers, Douglas, Harvey, Cordell, and Dow Rackley and sister, Mary Wilson. Mrs. Gunter is survived by four sons, Tommy (Joy) Gunter of Morrison, TN, John (Gail) Gunter of Morrison, TN, Miles (Lisa) Gunter of McMinnville, TN and Clyde Gunter of Morrison, TN; three daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Cole of Murfreesboro, TN, Viola (John) Prater of Morrison, TN, and Mary (Jim) Morton of Smyrna, TN; twenty grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Otis (Phyllis) Rackley and Joe Ed (Linda) Rackley; four sisters-in-law, Paulette Rackley, Gladys Graham, Bonnie Jo Cantrell, and Faye Gunter and special friend, Emma Jean Van Diver. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Dr. Dean Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
