McMinnville resident and Lafayette, TN native Bessie Christine Mooneyham, age 83, was born April 27, 1940 and died July 27, 2023 at NHC Healthcare of Sparta, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of Madison Street Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Logan Burns and Mae Shoemake Ford. She was married to Verble Lee Mooneyham on December 13, 1958 who preceded her in death on April 22, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by step-father, Tommy Ford and brother, Eugene Burns. Mrs. Mooneyham is survived by four children, Barry Mooneyham, Pam (Tony) Welch, Kimberly Mooneyham (Gilbert Corredor) and Sandra Thompson, all of McMinnville, TN; seven grandchildren, Christy Vickers, Misty Vickers, James Vickers, Jr., Christopher (Rocio Medina) Vickers, Brandon Welch (Chrissy Coburn), Ginger (Craig) Sinks and Codey (Ailema) Whiles; nine great-grandchildren, Kylee Creamer, Damian Rivera, Bambam Creamer, Jeremiah Corredor, Annie Jo Sinks, Daisy Sinks, Bea Sinks, Mia Whiles and Amelia Whiles; brother, James (Bettie) Ford of Lafayette, TN; half-sister, Debra Bond of Hermitage, TN; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Linda and Carl Thompson of McMinnville, TN. Graveside service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Morrison Cemetery in Warren County with Harlen Simmons and Harry Green officiating.
