Betty Allen Wilson Boyd

McMinnville resident and Overton County, TN native Betty Allen Wilson Boyd, age 87, was born January 6, 1937 and died September 5, 2024 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. 

A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Houston and Maudie Bilbrey Wilson. She was married October of 1955 to Terry Donald Boyd who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Velma Wilson, Delcie Wilson West, Austa Wilson Parker and Thula Wilson Kilgore and brothers, Haskel Wilson, Martin Wilson, William Eugene Wilson and Howard Wilson.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Patty Boyd of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Clint (Linli) Boyd of Houston, TX and Julie (Chris) Hyder of Panama City Beach, FL; five great-grandchildren, Kirsten Hyder (Alec Jarvis), Bailey Hyder (Izzy West), Luke Boyd, Anna Boyd and Betsy Boyd and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Tim Deason and Clint Boyd officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at High's.
