Betty Jean Butcher

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Betty Jean Butcher, age 77, was born April 16, 1944 and died September 4, 2021 at NHC Healthcare following a brief illness. A seamstress for Finley Auto Seat Mfg., she was the daughter of the late John Wayne and Eva Jean Christian Ware. She was married to Jess Willard Butcher on November 9, 1963. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Ware. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Butcher is survived by children and spouses, Shelia (James) Austin of Rock Island, Randy (Lisa) Butcher of McMinnville, Donna Bass of Adairsville, GA; grandchildren, Josh Huntley, Matthew Austin, Dillon Butcher, Cody Bass, Brianna Bass and Hailey Blair; four great-grandchildren; sister, Judy McGlothin of Rock Island; brother, Johnny Ware of McMinnville and special friends June McGee and Ann Milstead. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in High's Chapel with Bill Walkup and Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
