Betty Marie McPherson

McMinnville resident and Bledsoe County, TN native Betty Marie McPherson, age 89, was born July 31, 1935 and died January 25, 2025 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness. 

A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Horace Morrison and Anna Mae Angel Scarbrough. She was married to David Alvie McPherson who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Milton, Shelton and Alene Scarbrough. 

Mrs. McPherson is survived by son, David C. (Lisa) McPherson of Hohenwald, TN; daughter, Valerie Joyce (Richard) Robinson of Morrison, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan David (Tori) McPherson, Tristan Dray McPherson, Penny (Jeremy) Kell and Easlin (Madi) Robinson and great-grandchildren, Taylor McPherson, Matthew McPherson, Eli McPherson, Phoebe Kell and HawKens, CoBurn and BriDger Robinson. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Kevin Key officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at High’s.
