McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Betty Sue Brown, age 80, was born November 17, 1942 and died June 6, 2023.
A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alvia H. and Florene Locke Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Brown, Mary Elizabeth Dillard, Jennie Mae Peppers and Margie Josephine Brown; brothers, Joe Louis Brown and Jr. Brown; paternal grandparents, Columbus and Lena Mitchell Brown and maternal grandparents, Harry and Hattie King Locke.
Ms. Brown is survived by son, Fred (Pou) Brown of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Brandon, Rondel, Taylor and Eric; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Cummins, Annie Ruth Brown and Jessie Louise Brown; brother, Fred William Brown and special niece, Jennifer Brown, who would take her shopping and to yard sales.
Betty enjoyed sewing, gardening, and talking on the telephone and she looked forward to the singing at Brown Town every Sunday. She will be missed by her family and friends from the McMinnville Boarding House. Miss Betty, go to sleep and take your rest, because God loves you best.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
