Billy Floyd Martin

McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Billy Floyd Martin, age 75, was born May 5, 1947 and died November 16, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.           

A retired electric motor repairman from A.O. Smith and member of Living Word Fellowship, he was the son of the late Robert Eugene and Selva Estil Wanamaker Martin. He was married to Donna Carol Martin on July 4, 1976 who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Billy Austin Banks.

Mr. Martin is survived by son, Michael Wayne (Lyndsy) Martin of Morrison, TN; daughter, Christy Michelle Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandsons, Peyton Martin, Mason Riley Martin, Devin Smith and Noah Smith; two granddaughters, Shyla Martin and Sheyanne Martin and sister, Sylvia Jean Banks of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Jim Zlaten officiating. Burial will follow at Armstrong Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
