Billy Welch

McMinnville, TN resident and White County, TN native Billy Welch, age 82, was born August 6, 1939 and died December 7, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness. A retired employee of Avco and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Bill and Minnie Bennett Welch. He was married to Cathy Christian who preceded him in death July 7, 2005. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Nichole Medley. Mr. Welch is survived by three children and spouses, Tony and Pam Welch and Renee and Steve Nearing, both of McMinnville, TN and Michael Welch of Rock Island, TN; six grandchildren, Lane Mullins, Brandon Welch, Micah Welch, Shelby Nearing, Abigail Mullins, and Keaton Welch; and one great-grandson on the way, Walker Welch. A private graveside service was held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Tony Lawrence officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
