McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bobby McBride, age 82, was born December 7, 1938 and died December 14, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. An employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville Mulch Yard, Tennessee Army National Guard veteran and member of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late Isaac Buford and Alma Rogers McBride. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Timothea McBride; grandchildren, Aaron Higgins, Caitlin Talley and Waylon Dennington; brother, Charles McBride and sister, Margaret Allen. Mr. McBride was married March 12, 2005 to Shirley Alford McBride of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four step-daughters, Shelia Duncan and Suzette Alford both of McMinnville; Susie (Jess) Finney of Dechard, TN and Stephanie Myers of Dallas, GA; step-son, Wayne Alford of Spencer, TN; step-grandchildren, Tara, Josh, Brittney, Casey, Ashley, Lindsey, Rachael and Mallory; nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Durham of McMinnville and Brenda (Larry) Wachter of North Carolina; two brothers, James (Juliette) McBride of Manchester, TN and Johnny (Linda Gail) McBride of Tullahoma, TN and sister-in-law, Melba McBride of Tullahoma, TN. Mr. McBride loved football, especially the UT Vols. He used to enjoy going to the games in Knoxville and he loved going to the beach. He loved having the grandbabies around. He loved his little dog Buddy and enjoyed taking him on Sunday morning rides. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 in High's Chapel with Bro. Dean Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's. Grave rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard. The family request practicing social distancing and wearing a mask.
