Brown Underhill

Brown Underhill, age 87, a McMinnville, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native was born June 7, 1934 and died August 15, 2021 at NHC McMinnville following an extended illness. He was the owner of McMinnville Moving and Storage, a member of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, and the son of the late James L. and Sarah Pearlie Harmon Underhill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lois Simons Underhill; grandson, Joshua Tilton; and seven brothers and sisters. Mr. Underhill is survived by children and spouses, Gentry and Charlotte Underhill, Jr., Donna and Rick Alexander, and Cindy and Craig Tilton all of McMinnville, TN; seven grandchildren, Beth Underhill, Jarrod and Stacey Underhill, Rickey and April Alexander, Timothy and Sallie Alexander, Nathan and Tara Tilton, Sarah Tilton, and Hannah Tilton; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene McGregor of McMinnville, TN; sisters-in-law, Barbara Simons of McMinnville, TN and Clara Underhill of Chattanooga, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Bo Hendrix and Jeff Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Bascom Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
