Bruce Edward Nunley

McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Bruce Edward Nunley, age 64, was born July 13, 1957 and died December 11, 2021 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a sudden illness. A former truck driver for Budget Auto Sales and member of the Baptist church, he was the son of the late Henry Howard and Mary Frances Baker Nunley. He was married to Sherry Lynn Holt Nunley of McMinnville, TN on December 24, 1995. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Preston Nunley and mother-in-law, Rosetta Rose Holt. In addition to his wife, Mr. Nunley is survived by daughter, Laura Lee Nunley of McMinnville, TN; one granddaughter, Sara Lynn Layne of Grundy County, TN; one grandson, William "Bill Bill" Frisbee of Grundy County, TN; two great-grandchildren; three step-sons, Tim, Sam, and Matt Burgess, all of McMinnville, TN; five brothers-in-law, Shawn, Brian, and Eric Holt, all of McMinnville, TN, David Holt, and David Hickey; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Kathey Nunley of Grundy County, TN; one sister-in-law, Sue Pon Nunley of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews also survive. He loved to play his guitar, spend time with his family, fish, and camp. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Philip Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
