Carl Edward Rackley, age 80, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born April 10, 1940 and died February 5, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a retired self-employed truck driver, a TN Army National Guard veteran, a member of The Vine Baptist Church, and the son of the late Colonel Bob and Cora Lee Hicks Rackley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Rackley; siblings, Bill Rackley, Christine Hobbs, Nancy Strack, Corene Cherry, Nettie Rackley, Phillip Rackley, Henrietta Muncey, Junior Rackley, and Pearly Lou Rackley; and son-in-law, Shane Thomas. Mr. Rackley is survived by children and spouses, Sharon and Edward Lawson of Rock Island, TN, Pam and Chris Cooper of McMinnville, TN, Cindy Thomas of Morrison, TN, and Devin and Jackie Rackley of McMinnville, TN; two stepchildren, Jodi and Chris Di Domenico of Ohio, and Lori Martin of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren, Beth Hollandsworth, Alicia Lawson, Tara and Dale Campbell, Ashlyn and Elliott Kelley, Rachel Cooper, Ryan Thomas, Jace Thomas, and Trayton Rackley; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Gianna Di Domenico, Jonah Baker, and Noah Baker. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Greg Moser officiating. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
