McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Carrylon Sue Goforth, age 80, was born February 9, 1940 and died January 7, 2021 at Woodbury Health and Rehabilitation in Woodbury, TN following an extended illness. A lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, former self-employed business owner and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Amon and Wavie Priest McCormick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Charles McCormick, Amon McCormick, Jr., Harvey McCormick, Yvonne McCormick, Marvin McCormick, Roy McCormick, Donna Lee Mason, and Melvia J. Blair. Ms. Goforth is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, John Eric and Kim Goforth and Christopher Allen Goforth, both of McMinnville, TN; three grandchildren, Kennedy Suzette Goforth of McMinnville, TN, Elizabeth Wanamaker of Clarksville, TN, and Toby Pack of McMinnville, TN; great-grandson, Tabias Wanamaker; three siblings, Linda Holder, Luke McCormick, and Novie Ann Blair, all of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021 at New Union Cemetery on Highway 30 in Warren County, TN with Danny Young officiating.
