Chad Anthony Rowland

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, Chad Anthony Rowland, age 40, was born December 28, 1981 and died December 5, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family after a five year fight with cancer.           

A production manager at Nissan in Smyrna for nineteen years and a member of Earleyville Church of Christ, he was the son of Lisa Rowland Noble of McMinnville, TN. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Eugene Rowland; several great-aunts and uncles; grandfather and grandmother-in-law, Henry F. Melton and Wilma Melton.

Chad was married to Kellie Melton Rowland of McMinnville, TN on August 9, 2003. In addition to his wife of nineteen years and mother, Mr. Rowland is survived by daughter, Catherine Marie Rowland of McMinnville, TN; grandmother, Joyce Rowland of McMinnville, TN; special aunt, Elaine (Barry) Jones of Rock Island, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John David and Debbie Melton of McMinnville, TN; two special great-aunts, Linda Hale of Rock Island, TN and Betty Dearmond of McMinnville, TN and many extended family and friends.

Chad was always known as a hard worker and always willing to help someone in need. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many. He enjoyed farm work, John Deere tractors and classic cars. His passion was his two girls, the loves of his life, wife, Kellie and precious daughter, Catherine. He loved the Lord with all his heart.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Central Church of Christ with Dan Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery in Cannon County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at High Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Nancy Davis at Vanderbilt University Hospital, as well as the nurses and caretakers at Avalon Hospice.
