Charles Burgess

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Charles Burgess, age 53, was born January 9, 1970 and died suddenly at his residence on May 4, 2023.           

A machine operator with Federal Mogul, Inc. and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Carlie Eugene and Armanda Herrin Burgess of McMinnville, TN. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Hershel and Nannie Burgess and Warren and Martha Herrin.

Mr. Burgess was married to Jennifer Renee Burgess of McMinnville, TN on November 10, 2018. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carissa (Justin) Jones of Cookeville, TN and Meagan Burgess of Spencer, TN; grandchildren, Carter and  Cae Lynn Jones; brother, Carl (Tamisha) Burgess of McMinnville, TN; niece, Miranda (Samuel) Bain of McMinnville, TN; nephew, Zachary (Rylan) Burgess; dear friends, Stephen Herrin, Dennis Herrin, Larry Watson and Chris Farley and many other family members and cousins.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Sam Bain officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
