Charles Edward Leverett

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Charles Edward Leverett, age 74, was born September 16, 1949 and died September 22, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.

Mr. Leverett was a nurseryman and the son of the late George and Ada Gertrude Leath Leverett.  He was married to Frankie Mae Hudson Leverett who preceded him in death.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Doyle E. Leverett;  grandson, Terry Clayton;  brothers, Billy Leverett and George Stephen Leverett and sisters, Bobbye McCormick and Carol Lynn Estes.

He is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Rodney) Walker and Misty Mae Leverett;  son, Charlie Dwight (Michelle) Leverett;  grandchildren, Wesley Leverett, Doylecia Mullican, Christopher Leverett, Christian Leverett, Haygen Leverett, Allan (Alma) Walker, Adrian (Torie) Walker, Alex Walker and Addison Leverett;  sisters, Helen Anderson and JoAnn Leverett;  bonus grandchildren, Barbara Webb, Dakota Bennett and Kenneth Dodd;  bonus great-grandchildren, Lola Bennett, Lynnix Bennett and Lakelei Bennett;  special niece, Angela Davenport and several other nieces and nephews.  

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery with Jerry Hudson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's.
