Charles Loyd Boles

McMinnville, TN resident and Washburn, MO native Charles Loyd Boles, age 85, was born February 19, 1935 and died January 5, 2021 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness. A retired design engineer with Powermatic in McMinnville, TN and Federal Mogul in Smithville, TN and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Loren E. “Red” and Ferry Dalton Boles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Michael Boles. He was married to Patricia Ann Shirk Boles of McMinnville, TN on November 24, 1952. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and spouses, Denny and Nancy Boles of Jasper, TN, Becky and Ron Lee of McMinnville, TN, Terry and Cindy Boles of McMinnville, TN, and Marty and Sharon Boles of McMinnville, TN; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Boles of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A private graveside service will be held with the family at Friendship Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Dan Gulley officiating. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
