McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Charles Richard Hobbs, age 75, was born March 23, 1947 and died May 25, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness. A TN Army National Guard veteran, nurseryman at Warren County Nursery and a member of Hebron Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Leslie and Frances Panter Hobbs. He was married to Kaye Hobbs of the Irving College Community on June 11, 1966. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by uncles, Billy Panter, Hartley Hobbs, Earl Hobbs, Glen Hobbs and Frank Lee Hobbs; aunts, Lovisia Howard and Willie Mae Hobbs Carr and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will Edd and Josie Warren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hobbs is survived by two children, Ricky (Jill) Hobbs and Chris (Desiree) Hobbs, both of McMinnville, TN; three grandchildren, Trey Hobbs (Lacey) of the Irving College Community, Chance Hobbs of Chattanooga, TN and Mia Hobbs of McMinnville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Keleigh Hobbs, Bentlee Hobbs, Elyssia Hobbs and Traeton Hobbs; three brothers, Michael (Margaret) Hobbs, Phillip (Denny) Hobbs, and Jeffrey (Tina) Hobbs, all of the Irving College Community; sister, Elaine (Steve) Wade of McMinnville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and aunt/big sister, Joe Eva Davis of the Irving College Community. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Derrick Stiles and Wayne Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
