Rock Island, TN resident and White County native Charlie Lee Myers, age 75, was born September 12, 1948 and died September 7, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness. 

A United States Army veteran of Vietnam, retired employee of Nissan and member of First Baptist Church of Spencer, he was the son of the late Paul and Jennie Belle Davis Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Maxine Rigsby; infant brothers, Johnny Bradford Myers, Paul Myers, Jr. and James Arnold Myers; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jane and James B. Hubbard; brothers, Joe Donald Myers and Billy Carroll Myers and wife, Helen Roberts Bannerman Myers and brothers-in-law, Willis Rodgers and Richard Bowen.

Mr. Myers was married November 26, 1966 to Brenda Rigsby Myers of Rock Island who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Paul (LouAnn) Myers of Rock Island and Brandon (Lisa) Myers of Spencer, TN; daughter, Katina (Brian) Simmons of Spencer; grandchildren, Chad (Alyssa) Myers of Murfreesboro, TN, Dylan Simmons of Murfreesboro and Cade Simmons of Spencer; great-granddaughter, Carolina Myers; brothers, Jackie (Carol) Myers of Rock Island and Bruce (Beverly) Myers of Murfreesboro; sisters, Judy Rodgers of Gallatin, TN and Janice Bowen of California; father-in-law, Harold Rigsby of Rock Island; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Janice) Rigsby of Rock Island and Keith (Misty) Rigsby of Morrison, TN; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Wade) Bouldin of Spencer and Pam (John) Comer of Rock Island and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in High's Chapel with Willard Ralph, Jr., Nathan Haynes and Dylan Simmons to officiate. Full military honors will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Interment will follow at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
