Charlotte Ann Brown Boyd was born in McMinnville on August 12, 1946 and died February 3, 2025 after an extended illness.
She was a graduate of McMinnville City High and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Mrs. Boyd was a retired teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Smith Brown and Frances Woodlee Hughes Brown.
Survivors include husband of 56 years Robert W Boyd Jr., daughter Emily Boyd Haston (Eric Bouldin), son Robert W Boyd III, granddaughters Lucy Haston (Alex Sengmanyvong), Emma Haston (Nathan Maxwell) and Sara Boyd, sister-in-law Elizabeth Boyd Myers, niece Elinor Myers Kenworthy (Randy) and nephews Andrew C Myers IV and Benjamin L. Myers ( Anne Hunter). Several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of First United Methodist church, where she was instrumental in the founding of The Good Neighbors program. She was a past regent and a member of the Lt. James Sheppard chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and received her 50-year certificate. A charter member of the McMinnville Junior Auxiliary, she was also a member and past president of the Ben Lomand Garden Club. She and Mr. Boyd were also involved in organizing the Beersheba Springs Medical clinic, a not for profit serving the Beersheba Springs Community, of which Mrs. Boyd fondly spent much of her childhood and adolescence.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mt View Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Heatherly officiating. There will be no service or visitation held at High's. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
