Chris L. Owens

Morrison, TN resident and Crittenden, KY native Chris L. Owens, age 63, was born July 29, 1961 and died March 8, 2025 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.

An Iraqi Desert Storm veteran with the United States Army and defense contractor for the Department of Energy, he was the son of Robert Owens and the late Mildred Lewis Owens. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

He was married to Wanda Owens of Morrison, TN on June 25, 1982. In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Owens is survived by children, Michael (Felicia) Owens of Murfreesboro, TN and Christopher (Robbin) Owens of Morrison, TN; grandchildren, Dayshia (Austin) Beasley and Brieana, Christopher James, Madalyn, Norah and Elliana Owens; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Ava and Aven Beasley; three sisters; eight brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Gregory Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.

Full military honors will be administered by the Tennessee Army National Guard.
