Clara Belle Brock McGee

McMinnville resident and Bledsoe County, TN native Clara Belle Brock McGee, age 77, was born August 5, 1947 and died March 12, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of the Church of the Nazarene, she was the daughter of the late James Allie and Daltha Myrtle King Brock. Mrs. McGee was married December 11, 1965 to Gordon Ray McGee, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 27, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Lurton Brock and Wayne Irvin Brock.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Amie and Kenny Hodges of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Janet McGee, Jr. of McMinnville; grandchildren and spouses, Kenneth Brandon and Kristen Hodges, Kendra Rae and Ben Matheney, Garrick Raylan McGee and Gavin Rayce McGee all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Lillie Mae Hodges, Evie Jay Hodges, Boone Edward Matheney and Banks Claire Matheney; sisters and brothers-in-law, Trula Joyce Pinkston of McMinnville, Anna Christine Seals of Hillsboro, Allie Marie and Harold Hyatt of McMinnville and Ruby and Rickie Northcutt of Manchester; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur Reed and Davita Brock of Indiana and Twyman and Carol Brock of Georgia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and caregivers and honorary family, Kelly Dodson, Carolyn Garretson, Mary Ann Duggin, Ashley Green and Ceilee Gudat.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 in High’s Chapel with James Elbert Smith to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
