Clifford Lee Markum, age 75, a McMinnville, TN resident and Dunlap, TN native was born March 14, 1943 and died July 30, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, truck driver for 37 years, member of the Assembly of God Church and son of the late Lonnie Clifford and Edna Lee Snipes Markum. Mr. Markum was a member of Warren Masonic Lodge No. 125 F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Linda Madewell Markum in 1971; second wife, Azzlene Wright Markum of 27 years; and brother, Robert Markum.Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Mark Lance of Chalmette, LA and Tammy and Terry Robinson of Viola, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica Lance, Katelyn Lance, Jeremy Robinson and Dusty Robinson; great-grandchild, Braylee Robinson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Charlene Markum of Alabama, Don and Helen Markum of Spencer, TN and Wayne Markum of McMinnville; sister, Sarah Markum of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews; special lifelong friend, Shirley Cole of Spring Hill, TN; and a dear cousin, James Lester of California. We would like to extend a special thank you to Lorie Betschart and the staff at Amedysis for their love and care for daddy and also the wonderful ladies of NHC HomeCare.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 in High’s Chapel with Sammy Lee to officiate. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
