Connie Leann Slatton

Smithville, TN resident and Warren County native Connie Leann Slatton, age 48, was born April 14, 1974 and died December 22, 2022 at St. Thomas Dekalb Hospital following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of the Pentecostal Church, she was the daughter of Bobby Byars of Arkansas and the late Joyce Ann Byars Bond.

Ms. Slatton is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Pease of McMinnville and Hannah Pease of Smithville, TN;  granddaughter, Ella Payne;  boyfriend, Phillip Stewart of Smithville, TN;  step-father, Bobby Bond of McMinnville;  step-mother, Debbie Byars of Arkansas;  two brothers, David Randall Byars (Amanda) of McMinnville and Zack (Dulce) Byars of Arkansas;  two nieces, Lindsay Ann Byars of Cookeville, TN and Emma Byars of Arkansas;  nephews, Colby Byars of Smithville, TN and Rango Byars of McMinnville;  step-sister, Amanda (Edwyn) Rosa of North Carolina and step-niece, Jasmine Wiggans.

Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in High's Chapel with Jeff Vandagriff officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High's.
