David Allen "Pete" Smith

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native David Allen “Pete” Smith, age 54, was born January 3, 1969 and died February 27, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A former employee of O.K. Heating and Air and member of Campaign Church of God, he was the son of Brenda Smith of Rock Island, TN and the late David Lee Smith. He was married to Teresa Smith of McMinnville, TN on May 2, 2009.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Smith.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Smith is survived by four children, Ashley Danielle (Kevin) Long of Normandy, TN, Tyler Dane Smith of Rock Island, TN and Steven (Hayley) Lawrence and Matthew Lawrence ("Kat" Rogers), both of McMinnville, TN; ten grandchildren, Sebastian and Triton Long, Leah Smith and Alden, Avery, Emma, Hayden, Ava, Abby and Mychelle Lawrence; brother, Frank Smith of Rock Island, TN; sister, Kellie (Allen) Lemons of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Jarvis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
