Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Dawson Campbell, age 87, was born March 13, 1937 and died January 28, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.

A veteran of the TN Army National Guard and a teacher with Vo-Tech, he worked in maintenance at MTSU. He was an elder at Morrison Church of Christ and the son of the late Lewis Culver “Chubb” and Georgia Pearl Crawley Campbell. Mr. Campbell was married March 23, 1962 to Evie Bouldin Campbell who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Allie Stinson and sister, Louise Pennington Pellum.

He is survived by daughters, Teresa (Jamie) Stinson and Bert Woodham both of McMinnville; grandson, Alex Stinson of Morrison; brother, Donald Campbell; sisters-in-law, Avie (Leonard) Clemons, Jewell Thomison and Bernice Grove all of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Branch and Gentiva Hospice.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Chris Perry and Roger Comstock to officiate. Interment will follow at Caney Branch Cemetery in Morrison. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Broadcasting Network, Boyd Christian School or Meals on Wheels.
