Diego Armando Mercado

Carthage, TN resident and Bryan, TX native Diego Armando Mercado, age 37, was born September 6, 1986 and died suddenly June 27, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

An employee of Dyer Heating and Cooling in Carthage, TN and of the Catholic faith, he was the son of Armando Mercado Avalos of Rock Island, TN and the late Ernestina Calderon Zarate.

In addition to his father, Mr. Mercado is survived by four children, Faviola, Yaretzi, Diego and Javier Mercado all of Rock Island, TN;  step-mother, Mariana Mercado of Rock Island, TN;  four sisters, Brenda Mercado of McMinnville and Azul Mercado and Camila Mercado both of Rock Island, TN and Lydia Zepeda and brothers, Erick and Lucas Mercado both of Rock Island, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with Father Bala officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at High's.
