Don Wayne Robbins

McMinnville, TN resident and Fentress County native Don Wayne Robbins, age 70, was born February 21, 1953 and died June 23, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

Don was a retired manager with Warren Farmers Co-op for 23 years, district sales manager with American Breeders Service (ABS) for 10 years and lifelong farmer. He was the son of the late Clinton and Doris Smith Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will H. and Melba Christine Clendenon Cathcart and brother-in-law, Dennis Cathcart.

He was married to Janie Cathcart Robbins of McMinnville, TN for 50 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife he is survived by son, James (Heather) Robbins of Fairview, TN;  daughter, Julia (Chris) Rhoady of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Jonah Robbins, Ben Robbins, Cara Rhoady and Caleb Rhoady; brothers, Randall, Blaine, David and Larry Robbins; sisters, Karen Robbins and Ruth Rich; special cousin, Daniel Hicks; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Paula Cathcart and Tom and Carole Cathcart; special farming partner, Robert "Sprout" Cathcart and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Rickey Magness officiating and special speaker Chris Rhoady. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
