McMinnville resident and Warren County native Donald Clark “Don” Hillis, age 85, was born September 22, 1939 and died March 10, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following a brief illness.
A TN Army National Guard veteran of Desert Storm, retired employee of Oster and member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Martin and Elmer Savage Hillis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Hillis and Jerry Hillis and sisters, Geraldine Hillis, Joyce Bond and Elizabeth Martha Adcock.
Mr. Hillis is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tracy Clark and Sherry Hillis of McMinnville; grandson, Tyler Clark Hillis of McMinnville; three step-children; eight great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sister, Pearlene Baker of McMinnville; brothers-in-law, Bobby Bond and Carl Adcock both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Trent Key to officiate. Interment will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
