Doris Linda Jones

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Doris Linda Jones, age 83, was born November 7, 1939 and went peacefully at home December 17, 2022.

A homemaker and member of Irving College Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Eunice Powell.  She was married May 20, 1961 to Robert Dee Jones who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Melba McBride and brother Freddy "Butch" Powell.

Ms. Jones is survived by three children, Sabrina Gail Jones and Gina (Darryl) Keener both of McMinnville and Robert (Missy) Jones of Rock Island, TN;  six grandchildren, Eli Jones, Breydon Jones, Sarah Keener, Bailey Jones, Dennis Keener and Ethan Pendleton;  two sisters, OmaJean Jones and Christine (Paul) Prince both of McMinnville;  two brothers, James "Mousie" Powell and Carl Michael Powell both of McMinnville;  sister-in-law, Bobbie Powell of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in High's Chapel with Ronnie Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
