Dorothy Louvene Hutchins Dunlap, age 92, a Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born August 19, 1928 and passed October 2, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville, TN following a brief illness. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Orville Vernice and Mattie Cleo Blankenship Hutchins. Mrs. Dunlap was married September 29, 1945 to William Thomas Dunlap who preceded her in death on September 2, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ova Lee Drake, Joyce Drake, Betty Sue Hutchins, and Tommy Hutchins, and grand son-in-law: Rick Wilson. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernice and Yalta Dunlap and Elton and Barbara Dunlap all of Rock Island, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Michael Cooper of Rock Island, TN; seven grandchildren, Sandra Wilson of McMinnville, TN, Bridgett (Phillip) Prater of the Centertown Community, Suzanne (Nathan) Parsley, Billy (Cristie) Dunlap, Kevin Dunlap, Lee (Joyce) Cooper, and Alan (Kim) Young all of Rock Island, TN; fourteen great-grandchildren, Cole (Hailey) Taylor of McMinnville, TN, Kendra Bain of McMinnville, TN, Will and John Porter Prater of the Centertown Community, Jackson, Brooks, and Wilson Dunlap, Bailey, Dean, Hunter, and Virginia Cooper, Alyssa Parsley and Mitchell and Shelby Young all of Rock Island, TN; Austin and Brooke Young of McMinnville, TN; five great-great grandchildren, Leyton and Lynlee Taylor, Maks Young, Maddi Young, and Carolina Grace who is on the way; sister, Brenda McBride of North Carolina and sister-in-law, Darlene Hutchins of McMinnville, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Old Bybee Chapel Cemetery in Rock Island, TN with Kevin Dunlap, and Drew Milligan officiating.
