Duane Douglas Rondolet

McMinnville resident and Davidson County native Duane Douglas Rondolet, age 69, was born October 13, 1954 and passed from his earthly home on October 14, 2023 following an extended illness. He was retired from Bridgestone Americas.

Duane was an avid fan of racing, enjoying NASCAR and drag racing. He loved building race cars and racing at dirt tracks. He loved the comradery of his racing friends and loved camping in his R.V. at the races. Duane was loud and bigger than life. 

He loved music and singing along to his favorites. He enjoyed Bonnaroo and many other concerts. 

Duane was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Robert and Eulala Rondolet. He is survived by life partner, Diane Starkey. He is also survived by son, Robert Rondolet (Kristen); step-daughters, Shannon Haston (Joey), Laura McCoy and Andrea Guzak (Jason) and step-son, Jon Starkey (Alanna). Duane was loved by his ten grandchildren, Anna and Claire Rondolet, Madeline and Jalen Haston, Ella McCoy, Elyas and Isaac Guzak and Mea, Caysen and James Starkey. Duane will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Ryan Vincion officiating and special remarks by Shannon Haston and James Clark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Viola, TN. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
