Edna Hillis Ledbetter

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Edna Hillis Ledbetter, age 78, was born September 6, 1944 and died suddenly February 5, 2023 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.           

A former employee of Formfit Rogers, Lyons Apparel and A.O. Smith and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Frank Cheatham and Tennie Mae Davis Hillis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Georgia Gorman, Mary Hines, Enzie George, Shirley Manus, Betty Minton, Gracie Hillis and Sarah Southard and brothers, Marion Hillis, Lewis Hillis, F.C. Hillis, Jr. and James Hillis.

Ms. Ledbetter is survived by daughter, Janice Capshaw of McMinnville, TN; two grandchildren, Calleb Capshaw of Knoxville, TN and Brittney Capshaw of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Lola Griffith of McMinnville, TN.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Eureka Cemetery in Warren County, TN with John Padgett officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home. There will be no visitation on Sunday. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.
