McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Elzie Lewis Vaughn, age 84, was born May 13, 1938 and died June 30, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. Mr. Vaughn was a United States Air Force Veteran, an avid fisherman and longtime member of the NAACP. A retired supervisor from Carrier Corporation and Whirlpool Corporation and a member of the East End Drive Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John and Lurlene Allred Vaughn. He was married to Muriel Ramsey on June 22, 1958 who preceded him in death on December 10, 2018. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucille, Mae Evelyn, Johnnie Bell, Clyde, Earl Wendell and Frances Loleeta. Mr. Vaughn is survived by children, Valerie D. Vaughn Martin and husband Derick of Crown Point, IN, John L. and Laticia Vaughn of Evansville, IN and Antonio D. Vaughn of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren, Dr. Tainayah W. Thomas, PhD., Nykeisha S. Vaughn, Amber N. Vaughn, Jamall L. Vaughn, Antwaun L. Vaughn and Anslee D. Crick and great-grandson, Apollo K.
