Emma Jean Hoover

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Emma Jean Hoover, age 96, was born March 10, 1929 and died March 13, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

A retired employee of Findlay and member of Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Bryan Jennings and Myrtle Farless Nelson. She was married November 29, 1947 to Harold Ross Hoover who preceded her in death on January 21, 2025. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, J.B. Nelson, Wallace Nelson, Wesley Nelson, Everett Nelson and Leslie Nelson and sisters, Thelma Melton, Geraldine Webb and Ruth Taylor.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Paul Cunningham to officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at High’s.
