Emogene Certain Shiel, age 85, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born May 5, 1935 and died February 15, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a retired inspector with Findlay Industries, a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church, and the daughter of the late Gren Fletcher and Nettie May Lowery Certain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Ronnie, Bob, and Steven Scott; brothers, Malcolm, Edward, and Junior Certain; sisters, Tamar Mathis, and Elizabeth Rigsby; and niece, Karen Adcock. Mrs. Shiel is survived by two sons, Carl Scott and Greg Scott both of Illinois; three daugthers, Kimberly Barry of Smyrna, TN, Jeanette West, and Trina Pearl both of Ohio; seven grandsons, Joseph Barry, Cale, Nick, Josh, Matthew, Cooper, and Sawyer Scott; three granddaughters, Jinny Forrester, Ily Scott, and Aylish Scott; great-grandsons, Jackson and William Scott and Nathan Forrester; great-granddaughters, Marley and Taylor Scott, and Sofia Forrester; niece, Marsha Jackson of McMinnville, TN; nephew, Jeff Rigsby of McMinnville; special friends, Lem and Linda Seal of Morrison, TN; and companion, Lucky. Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Bro. Kenneth Kirby officiating. Family and friends are to meet at cemetery. No visitation will be held at High’s. The family request that everyone wear mask and practice social distancing.
