Forest City, NC resident and Limestone County, AL native Ethel Viola Morton, age 85, was born July 22, 1934 and died January 16, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. A retired employee of Alabama Wholesale Drug Company and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late George Bayless and Nancy Viola Lewter Grimmett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Winton; and sister, Leona Wilson. She is survived by daughter, Marsha Means of Forest City, NC; two grandsons and spouses, Phillip David Nesmith and Jennifer Foley of Buffalo, NY and Brad and Raven Means of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Lori Means and Rex Lampe of Forest City, NC; great-grandson, Austin Means of Forest City, NC; two great-granddaughters, Carley Means and Ellyson Means both of Forest City, NC; and sister, Eloise Ganey. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 in High's Chapel with Jason Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
