Evelyn Lois Lewis

August 19, 1941 — September 14, 2019

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Evelyn Lois Lewis, age 78, was born August 19, 1941 and died September 14, 2019 at her residence following a brief illness. A retired employee of Oster and member of the Rolling Acres Brethren In Christ Church, she was the daughter of the late William Jewell and Ella Gladys Bridges Kennamer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorthy Nell Schrimsher and Rachel Higdon. Mrs. Lewis was married November 22, 1958 to Will Lewis of McMinnville.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Rhonda (Tim) Burnett and Connie (Jack) Smith both of McMinnville, Shane (Gigi) Lewis of the Piney Community and Abe (Amanda) Lewis of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Nathan (Tess) Greer, Ryan (Kayla) Greer, Wes (Joni) Johnson and Jaxxon Lewis;  six great-grandchildren, Logan (Jayme) Greer, Hailie Greer, Brinlie Greer, Camden Greer, Noah Greer and Sara Greer;  she was expecting her first great-great-grandchild, Reagan Greer, by the end of September;  step-granddaughter, Haylie Brooke Washer and several other step-grandchildren;  siblings, Dainease Lemley of Alabama, Shirley Cunningham of Cowan, TN and Harvey Kennamer of McMinnville;  several nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in High's Chapel with Jeff McKinnion officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
