Evelyn Travis

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Evelyn Travis, age 92, was born April 8, 1932 and died October 20, 2024 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.  

A retired employee of DeZurik and member of East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula Hill Cantrell.  She was married March 8, 1952 to Doug Travis who preceded her in death March 16, 2017.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ora Lee Cantrell, Pearline Newby, Wilma Holmes, Helen Burnett, Charles Cantrell, Jim Cantrell and Linda Glenn.

Mrs. Travis is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Alan) Holder of McMinnville;  son, Brent (Tracie) Travis of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Sam Holder, Gabrielle Holder, Cindy Travis (James) Saldana and Adeline Travis;  three great-grandchildren, Luke, Samantha and Charlotte Saldana;  sister, Thelma Sullens of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery with Alan Holder officiating.  There will be no visitation at High's.  Family and friends will meet at Mt. View Cemetery for the graveside service.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels c/o High's.
